“After months of trying to figure this out on our own, we called SDL. Sam started with three creative and unique vision boards for inspiration. His choices of tile, paint, fixtures, etc were on point. He was bold and balanced. I liked that he pushed us a little out of our comfort zone but was open to suggestions and honest with feedback. Working together was easy and enjoyable! Sam also worked well with our contractor. After finalizing details, specs were entered into an organized database that was accessible to our contractor and ready for me to purchase items. If problems arose or changes were made, Sam was responsive and helpful.

Weekend Home & Pool House ADU
Nestled in a small valley 90 minutes north of San Francisco sits this secluded property. Our clients wanted a space that not only was comfortable to retreat to, but could also be used for entertaining friends and family. We took inspiration from the surrounding natural landscape around the site to drive the spa-like aesthetic.
The existing home was completely remodeled and a new foyer/ bedroom wing added to better accommodate guests. A new pool house ADU adds additional capacity and delivers relaxed poolside vibes. We sourced original artworks and created bespoke ceramics in-house to help tie it all together, it’s that imperfect nature of natural and human-made objects that strengthens our connection to the spaces we live in.
