This whole-home remodel included new exterior siding, finishes, window and doors, as well as an extensive interior reconfiguration. A large entertaining kitchen was made possible by removing two smaller rooms at the rear of the house so that we could utilize the view of the extensive back yard.

We used black framed Milgard windows to contrast with the white interior and exterior, the divided-light design tying in the traditional farmhouse language. By sheetrocking the interior faces of the window's openings and using a simple profile window sill, a minimalist aesthetic is created to celebrate the nature beyond.

A bar sink at the end of the island services a built-in liquor cabinet. Retractable doors open up and slide back into the space, revealing the inviting hue of the cherry interior, and back-lit bottles of different shapes and colors. Against the white and reflective pallet in the rest of the kitchen, this is a unique, contrasting surprise waiting to be discovered.

Working with Sam has been delightful. He is not only a talented designer and space planner, but he takes the time to listen to concerns and worries and addresses them with detailed drawings and explanations, adding layers to the vision of the project. I would not hesitate recommending him
